United Against Flu

By John R. Combes, MD

It’s that time of year again. Football season has hit its stride; the leaves are beginning to turn and young ghosts and goblins are anticipating tricking or treating their friends. It’s also the time of year when health care professionals turn their attention to preventing that annual, unwanted visitor, the flu.

That’s why AHA again is organizing the United Against the Flu campaign. United Against the Flu is a collaborative effort by several national health care organizations to amplify the importance of getting vaccinated, especially during flu season.

The online hub, http://www.advancinghealthinamerica.org/flu/, provides information and resources on getting the flu vaccine and why it’s important for nearly every person to get vaccinated. We encourage you to visit the website and engage with us and the other health care organizations via Facebook, Twitter and other social platforms to show why you join us as we are all United Against the Flu.
